{Book Review} A Touch Of Death by Annitia L. Jackson

Book Review - A Touch of Death

Marci Leeann Marsh was born cursed because she was not a pure blood Fae. Doomed to live an existence alone, she commits a selfless act and sacrifices her own life to save a baby. However, her good deed isn’t enough. When she gets to the afterworld her past misdeeds come under fire. Marci is placed on trial to decide where she should spend eternity. She is to be judged by the same council, who have shunned her most of her life; Marci knows she is doomed.

Grave is the King of Death and head of the council. Being the man of the afterworld has afforded him money, power, and the most beautiful bedmates in the realm, but never the love of a mate. He had held the fate of many souls in his court for centuries in the Underworld. But never had he run across someone like Marci. With her fate in his hands, Grave finds himself drawn to the unstable half-fae beauty. But will Marci be too much for even the King of Death to handle?

A Touch Of Death

I haven’t read a paranormal story in quite a while. It was very refreshing to read one again and Annitia certainly did not disappoint me. Although this was a short read, it was most definitely a great one. From beginning to end, I was entertained. I just couldn’t stop laughing! (I literally kept waking my friend up with my outbursts)

Marci is a hot mess, I love her! She’s a beautiful Half Fae who isn’t afraid to speak her mind. Feisty. Smart. Confident. Oh, and did I mention how bad-ass she is? Her crazy + Grave’s crazy made them a more “crazier” perfect match. I’m so glad that she found true love, genuine friendships and happiness. After all she’s been through, she deserved it.

Grave is bae. Yasss, I have a new book bae … so ladies, back off!!! The King of Death is just that ….The King!!! This handsome ass Alpha protects, loves & cherishes his mate. I’m confident that they will rule the Underworld well together.

I love the friendship that Marci has with her girls. It’s hard to find honest and loyal friends. It’s truly a blessing to have reliable #GirlBosses. Orion, Golden & Syria were the worst! I couldn’t stand them, especially Orion with his burnt face, lol! Those three got everything they deserved!

All in all, this story is short, yet entertaining and full of drama. It is well written with little to no errors and flows perfectly. I highly recommend this read if you’re looking for a paranormal/fantasy story and/or wanting to try one out for the first time.

I give this book five stars and recommend it to others.
